The Invisible Pilot, a three-part documentary series from directors Phil Lott and Ari Mark and executive producer Adam McKay (HBO’s Succession), explores the gonzo tale of crop-dusting, daredevil pilot Gary Betzner who unexpectedly commits suicide, but the mystery surrounding his death deepens and unfurls a caper-filled tale involving a world of drug smuggling, gun running, and a covert war conducted at the highest level of the U.S. government.

The docu-series premiered on HBO on April 4, 2022 and now lives on HBO MAX .

The docu-series premieres on HBO and HBO MAX on March 21, 2021 and airs for 3 consecutive weeks with double episodes at 9p ET.
